Crosscheck Duty — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Crosscheck Duty & Rest ("the app") is a calculator for US airline crew duty and rest limits, published by GJU Software LLC ("we"). This policy explains what information the app handles. It applies to the app on iPhone, iPad and Android.

The short version

Information you enter

Report times, duty lengths, time zones, answers to rest questions and your preferences are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives them.

To show times correctly, the app reads your device's time-zone setting. It does not request or use your location.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, an anonymous report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), a crash-reporting service, so the problem can be found and fixed. A report contains:

Crash reports do not contain your name, email address, phone number, location, or the times and values you entered. They are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking or advertising. Sentry processes them on our behalf; its privacy policy is at https://sentry.io/privacy/.

App updates

When the app opens, it asks Expo (650 Industries, Inc.), the service that delivers app updates, whether a newer version of the app's screens and calculations is available, and downloads it if so. The request contains the app version, the platform (iOS or Android) and a random identifier for this installation. It contains nothing you entered. Expo's privacy policy is at https://expo.dev/privacy.

Subscription

The app is offered as a yearly subscription with a free trial. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your card or payment details, name or email.

To check whether your subscription is active, the app asks the App Store or Google Play directly, on your device. We have no server that receives your purchase, and no purchase information is sent to us or to anyone else. Apple's and Google's handling of your purchase is covered by their own privacy policies.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking libraries.

When you use the app's Share button, the result text goes to the app you choose (Messages, Mail and so on). We do not see it.

Links to the federal regulations open eCFR (ecfr.gov), a US government website with its own privacy policy.

Deleting your information

To delete everything the app has stored, open Settings → About, privacy & sources → Reset app data, or delete the app. Crash reports cannot be linked to you, so they cannot be retrieved or deleted individually; Sentry keeps them for a limited time and then deletes them.

Children

The app is intended for working airline crew and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because the app does not collect personal information, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, export or delete. If you have a question about your privacy rights under the laws where you live (for example the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), contact us below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
